James McMurtry & Abe Partridge at Laidlaw Performing Arts Center
Recently, on Saturday, March 22, The Southland Music Line attended the annual Songwriter Keynote at the University of South Alabama’s Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. After a hiatus, the event returned, featuring an acoustic performance by critically acclaimed singer-songwriter James McMurtry. Following remarks from former USA Writer-in-Residence Frye Gaillard, the popular Abe Partridge musically opened the show. Also performing a portion of the show with McMurtry was BettySoo. We have enjoyed seeing McMurtry many times, and this performance was one of the best.
All attendees received a free vinyl copy of IMC Volume Two, the latest compilation of live recordings from the IMC Concert Series.
