On the dates of Thursday, September 15 through Sunday, September 18, 2022, The Mississippi Songwriters Festival returned to the Gulf Coast for its 13th exciting year with songwriters from Mississippi, “The Birthplace of America’s Music”, Nashville “The Capital of Country Music”, across America, and as far away as Sweden. The festival is recognized for attracting accomplished songwriters from all over the world, yet never turning away anyone who is just starting out. There is a place for everyone. The mission of the festival remains the same: “to promote and preserve the art of songwriting.”
Since the conclusion of the festival, The Southland Music Line has published several photo collections and commentary about this year’s festival; plus, an article and photos detailing the most recent Mississippi Songwriters Hall of Fame (links are provided at the bottom of page).
The following photos continue spotlighting this festival’s Grand Finale and other moments not before shared.
