On Thursday, July 22, 2021, the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in historic Ocean Springs, Mississippi introduced an exciting, new, family-friendly series to the public. The series called “Magic Hour” is based on the comments made by the world-renowned and celebrated artist-philosopher, Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965)

“It is approaching the magic hour before sunset, when all things are related…” – Walter Inglis Anderson

The mission of the Walter Anderson Museum of Art is : “…..to empower lifelong curiosity and connection to the natural world through the art of Walter Anderson and kindred artists.”

Founded in 1991, the museum is a keystone in the state’s cultural life and has brought visitors from around the world to its doors.

The quarterly series will provide a variety of activities including live music and free admission to the museum.. On this particular evening, music was provided by two of the Gulf Coast’s most popular singer-songwriters Abe Partridge and Emily Sholes Smith, both of whom have been spotlighted in numerous articles and photo collections at The Southland Music Line.
